THE VEIN

He sat there
Oblivious
Probably thinking,
or so I thought
Of the next heavy load to hurdle
A thing he carried in the past
Will carry again in the next unfading hours

A Sky's Embrace

written for Real Toads

She flipped her head

And dangled a twig with her hand

From which then bloomed a flower

Connected to her hair

Hearts

We find true love at the most unexpected places and sometimes we fail to recognize it because we are blinded by what other people think and say and though love may seem elusive to some, it remains the most powerful emotion in all the world and when it speaks, there seems to be no need for words....if you feel as though it hasn't come into your life yet, just wait, just keep the faith and open your eyes to its true magnificence...you'd see LOVE in the eyes of the people who truly care for you...and I bet for all of us, there is more than one person who'd say they LOVE us more than words can say...let's do, spread the LOVE...

Close to You

~Love, it definitely is the most wonderful unspoken word

but say it, before the person closes his or her eyes forever because when you lose that chance, it may never

come again~

"INCENDIARY"

She
tilts her head
to welcome the drops of water
they run down her neck, to her breasts, arms and legs

with closed eyes she thinks of all the times
in her life she chose to be with you
  she has changed
a lot has changed

The First Kiss

She was passing along the corridor. The moon was peeping through the billowing curtains partially obscuring the merry making outside. It was the first day of the year. Screams of revelry could be heard along with the lights making their way up into the sky as if challenging the moon. A cat scurried towards an open door as she made her way to the garden. The leaves were swaying in unison as if luring her to walk on. A song was playing on her mind, notes from somewhere in time she could not give words to. She smiled as a flower dropped from a twig. It was difficult not be happy at that moment. The world was singing for joy....and she saw him for the first time. He had eyes that reminded her of the deep blue sea; and hair that snapped memories of her childhood from her own eyes. They were black yet brown when illuminated briefly making her almost see the bark of trees she used to climb as a little girl. What more was there that she could not resists? He had lips that smiled in a way that chanted lullabies.

Remnants of a Sunset

She was staring at nothing in particular. Her hair, black as night was softly dancing in the wind. The smell of the gentle breeze captivated her thoughts. Somewhere along the shore she saw someone scurrying towards her. She drew out a sigh, lifting both hands to gather her mane to her nape. Twilight was lurking. The sky was giving way to darkness. Tiny wings were passing over her head. She could hear them buzzing and feel them shadowing what was left of the light of day. Over the waters she threw pebbles, watched with fascination the formation of ripples. She blinked hearing a loud splash. Someone has created a thudding sound beside her.

Revelry of a Wounded Heart

She was standing there. Looking at the frail frame of a man disheveled by his past. By their past. Those eyes
are mirrors of  a long forgotten dream. A tale from somewhere in time. Flickering, flashing like flames of a dying fire. And she softly caught those black, jet black strands of hair on her fingers, shaking...chilled, she finally gave in to the shaking of her shoulders. The dam that kept her from breaking into a thousand tears, a million sighs and a hundred diamond slabs on her heart gave way making her surrender into his shoulders in anguish in love, in anger, in sorrow...all at the same time. The thin frame became a huge cloud that encompassed the sky's vast glass, reflecting touches of rain, of sunshine and dust. And they both cried. Cried and cried and cried until it was night. Until all the pain the regrets, the shadows of doubt were cast in a tunnel of eternity that carried them both into another day....where love knows no time, and takes on all the rhyme...

..participating for the first time in
