Amici Resort

Hello there!

So, I had a chance to travel after a mind grueling two and a half months of studying. gee, I just misspelled and had to edit the words "grueling" and "misspelled" after typing I spent time studying, mercy please.  😅

Anyway, here goes the resort review/appreciation/photo blasts 😀.

I don't feel like putting my thoughts into words so I will let the photos speak. I am lazy, yeah that's more like it. But this is a must to write -"I had a great time."

The resort name- Amici (an Italian word that means FRIENDS) expresses the description of the experience.

It was a restful week with friends amidst work.

Sunrise, Oh Sunrise

Life, on-line for me now is mostly for work and school. So, boring one may say. That is why I keep running back to blogging. To have this place in the world wide web to pour in my thoughts and share my photos is a bliss. Sometimes I wish people would read, most of the time I treat is as my hiding place. Writing used to make me so happy! It still does! I hope it does continue to make me giddy and smiling and jumping with joy!

There are a lot of sad things and events in the world today so focusing on nature and family and friends is a must to keep one sane! to keep going we all need a ray of sunshine, the smell of leaves and flowers and even rain!

Today the hubby and I caught the sunrise at our fave spot and our second home. It is the first time we were there at the golden start of day and you can imagine my glee when we spotted the sun all aglow up there! The view was made serene by the chirping of birds and the surrounding clouds and the deserted road. Surely we will find time to catch the next one come Sunday! So yay for the weekend!

I wish all families well in all the world. 😍

One Sunset with Beth at MA-CHO TEMPLE...

Ma-cho temple

One of the tourists attractions in my province is MA-CHO TEMPLE. The place is dear to my heart as it was built the same year I was born- 1975. No wonder it has been there for as long as I can remember. It was built by the Chinese community in San Fernando City under the leadership of Jose D. Aspiras and Mr. Dy Keh Hio. I remember passing by this welcome arch all the days of my childhood life as we lived just nearby and being curious just what was up there. It took me years before I finally got to see the place and I have been re-visiting ever since because of the inner peace I feel each time I am there.

Beyond the Sunset

yellow flower

Dear Dad,

Hi there! Hey, I came to visit the other day. I didn't see you. I suppose you weren't there. It was too grassy where we left you. But don't worry, someone will clean up the place soon. I hope you got what I left for you there, a candle on the ground next to the yellow flowers.

I visited next one of your favorite places in town. You remember? that area where you used to fish? where the sun meets the sky at the end of the day and where I used to sit around and watch you with your fish-net running towards the waves...

I went there but didn't see you though I have to admit, the wind, the clouds, the air, the sun, the flowers...they all told me you are happy now....wherever you may be......

Home Sweet Home Pets: Vhea Our Cat

A photo posted by thelettersinnovember (@zenskulasa) on

I love taking photos of our cat Vhea. For one, she has chinky eyes and wonderfully shaped nose and she just loves doing nothing LOL- making her a perfect model.  In the photo above she was kinda sun bathing by our porch. I just had to take a snap before going to work. The rays of the sun and the shadows falling behind her makes me wish I could stay home on a Monday hehehe....

My Photography Plan for 2016 :)

A photo posted by thelettersinnovember (@zenskulasa) on

I haven't actually spent much time indulging in one of my hobbies in 2015. Though I got to travel more it's quite sad that my "itch to click" has somehow taken a back seat. My Canon DSLR is busted and I don't seem to have the energy to have it checked. My iphone has somehow been doing the job of my former "kulasa"/"my cam" and I have to admit I miss really "taking shots" you know what I mean.

Healthy Lifestyle/Home Sweet Home: On DOGS and HAPPINESS and LOVE

This morning I took the time to just watch the sky change colors. I was digging the ground to plant some vegetables when the sky became too irresistible not to capture. The kaleidoscope got my heart beating fast so I ran to the house to grab my cam and started snapping photos waiting for the sun to rise. I was surprised to realize my solitude was invaded by our dog "M" who sat in front of me and seemed to be in prayer watching the sun come out from the mountains.

A "Nature-Filled" Weekend

Today's weekend was atypical. I got inspired by my friend Betchai of The Joys of Simple Life who spends every free time she has with mother nature.

It was our father's day celebration- oh well away from our dear dadushky who is now in Haiti. It was actually an unplanned trip. The kids as usual were begging me for a trip to the mall- movie/game arcade kinda date but I was firm in reminding them we should be inhaling more fresh air!
