So much for calling myself a bookworm- I know I'm not (pun intended). Yet after taking a break from law school I found myself being idle after five pm. So, when the boys and I enter a bookstore and they begin putting books on the cart, I have also been pulling books from shelves and ending up purchasing 'em.
Here's a short list of what I've been perusing:
1. See Me- by Nicholas Sparks above
It brought back the romantic in me naturally. I've actually been wishing something inspires me to finally write a novel (long time plan, long time dream, still is). I guess I'll keep feeding myself romantically LOL.
2. How To Stop Worrying And Start Living by Dale Carnegie
I think this book should have reached my hands at an earlier point in my life. Nowadays, I do find myself worrying every now and then but I am no longer as anxious as I was before midlife LOL. It helps to browse its pages time and again though when panic attack strikes (I am insane, I admit). I highly recommend it for worry-freaks!
3. Memoirs of A Geisha by Arthur Golden
Viewed the movie, know the tale but there's something about the setting- Japan that makes me want to read the novel over and over. Haven't gone further than chapter one because I hate wearing my reading glasses to make the font easier to see LOL.
4. Confidence, How To Succeed at Being Yourself by Alan Loy McGinnis
Published by Claretian Publications I got hold of this book after attending the fist batch of our work spiritual recollection. I am beginning to love authors whose aim is to help others find themselves. Tell you more when I finish reading!
