✿Foodie/Travel Letters: Time For Some Tea

Okay, so I finally got to check out the latest craze in town. Yeah I know a bit late but always better late than never eh? I learned that Moonleaf started out as a quaint shop around four years ago offering tea drinks in different concoctions in a relaxing, friendly atmosphere.

Unsurprisingly it became a hit among students and young people like me (ahem) so branches were put up until one was established in San Juan, La Union the surfing capital of the North.

I can't say I love tea, well I do drink tea just not that often but "a leaf that gives you a taste of the moon" that's something else really enough to stir my curiosity and so, here was our Moonleaf overdue date (pun intended).

JOIN US SAVOR THE TASTE!

of "happy cakes" in all shapes and color!

as well as cookies in jars I could break in a haste to bite! HAHA

TEMPTED ENOUGH SWEET-TOOTHED PEEPS LIKE ME?

and then there's the TEA of course to drown all the calories down, not in hurried gulps because these are worth sipping sllllllooooowwwllllyyy...and the add on goodies are worth chewing for minutes while enjoying the place's homey feel...
LET'S GO ORDER THAT TEA!

So what'd I choose?

hmmmmm whatchathink?

I first chose strawberry milk tea but wonder of all wonders when the friendly crew asked me I just nodded my head when he said Wintermelon...so...

WINTERMELON 75% Sweet with pearls it was for me and my dear friend slash foodie partner doc Jen (you know, we keep telling ourselves we'd ditch the excess calorie intake each time we see our bulging tummies but always end up consuming more HEHEHE).

Marieves, our little pal engrossed in her tea
Wait there's more to eat at Moonleaf!

Care for some pizza?

Moonleaf tea Bacnotan Longganisa Pizza
"Bacnotan-longganisa pizza,"- I'd personally say this was YUM! not because I am from Bacnotan but because the meat is not too sweet, not too salty and definitely not fatty with that distinct goody meaty magic that lingers in your taste buds; the egg at the center gives it a breakfast touch but be warned about the native chili in between the slices, they could be "powerful" enough to send you gulping on your tea and requesting for another cup with 100% sweetness! I'd definitely say YES again to that spicy surprise though! I took home several slices and can not wait to order more!

GOOD VIBES in a CUP- a promise fulfilled on our part.

Mmmmm see those HAPPY SMILES? Can you spot our photographer?

Because our schedules seldom jibe I could only wish we could be back there soon for another sisters-at-work chitchat and laughter and imbibe GOOD VIBES offered for FREE at MOONLEAF TEA.

~Not a sponsored post but just another happy customer's honest opinion.~ Check out FOODIE LETTERS above for more of our tummy filling adventures.~
