St. Michael The Archangel Parish Church- A Lenten Reflection

On the fourth day of the Holy Week I visited our parish church to send prayers to heaven. I always pray wherever I am, however the holy atmosphere in churches is enriching to the soul so after work I headed to this beautiful architectural structure that has witnessed many of my life's stages.

History tells that the  Saint Michael the Archangel Parish Church was a restoration of its original structure which was destroyed by an earthquake. In 1887, it was completed with an adjoining convent. source

For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.- John 3:16

Staring at the crosses atop the highest points of the church's facade, a mix of baroque and neoclassical style takes me back to the wondrous spiritual story of Jesus Christ who lay his life for mankind. His humble leadership is worth emulating. For indeed, He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

This Lenten Season may we reflect.....

As Jesus said in Matthew 16:25-26- "For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever losses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

May we all have a meaningful Lenten Season...
