Your bedroom should be your sanctuary, the place that you feel most comfortable in. The key to creating a room that you love to spend is making it a space that’s beautifully decorated, with chic touches of glamor, here and there.

When it comes to revamping any space, inspiration is crucial. Have a browse online for all the best glamourous bedroom ideas - if you look in the right places, you can find some real gems. (I find Instagram.com to be a useful tool when it comes to decor inspiration, so make sure to have a look on here.)
If you have a favorite home designer, make sure to check out their website to get some inspiration. As well as having a browse through a variety of home design magazines - often, you can find some great ideas in these.
Go neutral
When it comes to creating a glamorous bedroom, neutral walls are a real must.There’s something about neutral shades, like soft gray and camel, that instantly make a space feel more luxurious.
Of course, opting for neutral decor doesn’t mean that the whole area has to be plain. To add a little color and extra style, a few well thought out accessories are crucial. While the main decor should be neutral, that doesn’t mean that the other bits and bobs can’t be colorful. The best colors to use in elegant rooms are pastels, as they are lovely and subtle.
Invest in your ceiling
One area that many of us fail to think about when we are decorating is our ceilings. This is simply, because we don’t look at them very often. However, you would be amazed at how much of a difference adding a stylish mold to your ceiling can make, to how luxurious your bedroom feels. (Yes, really!)
Of course, this isn’t an update you can do yourself. However, you could always hire a renovation company to do it for you. Perhaps you could also get your wall trims done at the same time to add a little extra style? If you do opt to have moldings added, make sure to take your time choosing the perfect design.
Transform your bed
As any interior design lover will tell you, the focal point of your room should always be your bed - it’s the unwritten rule of bedroom design. If your bed is looking a little sad and sorry for itself, now is the time to transform it.
Throw out your old bed frame and invest in a new, chic design - vintage inspired frames always look fantastic. As well as treating yourself to a new bed, invest in some lovely new bed linen and accessories as well. For the ultimate luxury bed, invest in a feather duvet and pillow set, as well as some beautiful neutral linen. (You can always add color with throws and cushions, but your linen should be neutral.)
