2015 Design Trends: Beautiful Bathrooms

Interior design trends are ever-changing, even in rooms you wouldn’t tend to consider. Like the bathroom. While most of us are unlikely to revamp the bathroom every time the styles change, it’s always nice to see what’s currently in fashion. We’ve found some of the most beautiful bathroom trends for 2015.

Natural Beauties
There’s been a real focus on bring natural elements into rooms over the last 12 months. The bathroom is no exception! This natural beauty trend is something that makes us go weak at the knees. Imagine how serene your soak in the tub will be, when surrounded by greenery. An easy way to try this trend out is to go for earthy accessories and materials. We’re thinking wood and stone. Alternatively, go all out and get a living wall!

Bathroom Bedrooms
This design trend first started creeping into hotels, and has now become popular in homes too. Warning, it’s not for the faint hearted. Bring your bathroom into the bedroom and create something pretty show-stopping. You can simply have a freestanding bath at the bottom of your bedroom, for a classic suite look. You may also want to consider his and hers hand basins in the bedroom too. Unless the sound of your partner brushing their teeth gets on your nerves.

Wet Rooms
Here’s another trend that has slowly crept into the limelight. More and more people are opting for wet rooms, instead of cramped shower cubicles. If you have the space in your home then this is a beautiful addition to any bathroom. Not everyone wants to replace their entire bathroom with a wet room, we understand. Consider making extra space by creating an extension.

Free Standing Baths
We’ve already mentioned them in our bathroom bedrooms trend, but they had to have a whole section to themselves. There’s been a real rise in free standing bath sales and we can see why. There’s just something so magical about these giant tubs. Perfect for a relaxing soak! They don’t have to be overly expensive either. We found a range of baths at Bella Bathrooms that should suit any budget.

Going Grey
If you don’t want to completely refurbish your bathroom to keep up with the latest trends, then you’ll like this one. Long gone are the days of white walls - grey is where it’s at now. Grey doesn’t have to turn a bathroom into something boring and bland, either. Introduce some chrome accessories and strips of white, to bring some light back in.

Eco-Friendly
With so many people trying to become more eco-friendly, this trend certainly doesn’t surprise us. Sustainable materials and water saving technology have featured a lot in interior design magazines. We think this trend ties in nicely with the natural beauties one, featured at the top of this post. You don’t have to paint your bathroom green to have a green bathroom

These are our top bathroom design trends for 2015 and we can’t wait what the next 12 months has in store. Will you be trying any of these out? If so, which one and why?
