Four Of The Best Ways To Lose Weight

Losing weight is a challenge most of us have had to face at one time or another. Are you trying to lose that extra bit of baby weight after giving birth? Perhaps you are trying to slim down to fit into that gorgeous new outfit. We all have our reasons for not liking the body we are in. Sometimes weight gain can get away from us. There are hundreds of reasons why this can happen. Careers may see you stuck at a desk for fifty or sixty hours a week, and life sucks all the time for preparing healthy meals out of your day. When you have children it can be incredibly difficult to get to the gym in the evening too. If you are looking in the mirror and feeling unhappy with what you see, there are several things you can try to do. We give you the top four:

Daily activity in your life - Ensuring that you are active for half an hour every day sounds like it is too hard to even attempt. It can be much easier than you think. Walk fifteen minutes into the office every day. Then you will have to walk fifteen minutes back. Do it at lunchtime, or just park about a mile away from the building. Add one exercise class a week to this and you are suddenly on the road to a much fitter lifestyle. Make it your mission to vacuum your house right through every day. This too will take you about half an hour of activity.

Swap one thing - If you are a little partial to gummy bears or similar gelatine sweets, swapping them for boiled fruits can work quite well. Even though there is no gelatine, your body could feel quite satisfied it has had its gummy fix from the fruit. Other swaps include chocolate. Swap your two hundred calorie choccy bar for a one hundred calorie chocolate covered oat bar. Swap your packet of chips for baked savories, and you are well on the way to cutting your calorie intake.

Weight loss surgery - This isn’t for the faint-hearted, but can be essential for those who are becoming seriously ill from their excess weight. Gastric bypass is very popular at the moment because it really can work to cut down how much you eat. If your portion sizes are to blame for your obesity, this one will prevent you ever stacking your big plate again. Take some counselling too if you are going for this one, to be sure it is right for you. It is possible to lose one hundred pounds this way for some people.

Yoga - Some people swear this is the best way to stay slim, but there are a few who claim Yoga energized them enough to get off the sofa and become more active in other ways too. A class once or twice a week could be all it takes for you to start feeling stronger and more focussed on your goal. If you are easily distracted from weight loss efforts or you find you just can’t be bothered to keep them up, give Yoga a try for that extra mental discipline you need.
