The Malayan Plaza, A Great Place In Ortigas

My workmates and I are currently checked in here at The Malayan Plaza Hotel. We actually spent sometime searching for the best place (read- great service, strategic location and not too pocket draining) to stay along Ortigas business center. Having once stayed here our team-mate ma'am Mely suggested it's a great hotel. A plus factor is its being at the heart of the city near the event we are attending. So I found myself asking Melanie, a friend to call up Malayan Plaza to reserve a week ago for a room good for three adult persons. It was a breeze speaking with the accomodating staff when I followed up our reservation over the phone as well as checking in two days ago. 

We were welcomed by a homey Christmas atmosphere in the lobby.

The staff are polite with warm, friendly smiles perfect for a tiring day after hours of travel and lack of sleep.

Speaking of sleep our beds with soft matresses and huggable huge pillows with a view of the Ortigas business center was such a relief.

At night the enchanting city lights mesmerize the soul.

Staying on the upper most floor I chanced upon my beloved "after sunset" scenery yesterday above from our room and I must say it quenched my thirst for nature's touch.

Our three-bed accomodation includes a dining area where we had our daily dinner heartily. The room is spacious and we had fun sliding our feet like kids on the wooden tiled floor. Complimentary breakfast buffet is served at the executive lounge from six to ten a.m.

And yes we loved the food and excellent service.

We didn't have the time to enjoy the other amenities like the pool on the 33rd floor though. Maybe next time when I could already fit well in a bikini LOL.

One noteworthy thing for a blogger like me is the kindness of the staff who allowed me to use the computer at the lobby for my on-line stuff. I didn't bring my laptap with me and my smartphone can't do the task I had to do so I am beyond grateful for their understanding and hospitality.

 I took note of the name of one staff who aided me. Romel G. and all the other hotel staff keep doing your job with a smile because it brings good vibes to your guests. God bless you all.

We are checking out in a few hours and am pretty sure we'll come back next year!☺
