Tips To Accommodate Your Growing Wardrobe

Have you recently invested in a new fur coat from your favorite fur boutique?  Perhaps you also purchased a few pairs of shoes and a new handbag while you were shopping.  Even though it is exciting to shop for new things, it can also be a challenge to find the space to accommodate a growing wardrobe.  Since fur coat cleaning only provides temporary room in your closet, these tips may help you to better accommodate the needs of your growing wardrobe.  After all, you simply can’t stop shopping!
Get Rid Of What You Don’t Need
First, it is important to eliminate the items in your closet that you no longer need.  This can be a difficult process for many people because clothes sometimes have sentimental value.  However, if you want to keep buying new stuff, sometimes you have to part with the old.  Generally, you can get rid of the pieces in your closet that meet the following criteria:
  • Anything that have not been worn in over a year
  • Shoes or clothing no longer fit
  • Pieces that are out of style and most likely will not come back in style
If you struggle parting with your belongings, try putting it boxes for a few months.  If you do not miss anything, then it is a good indication that you can get rid of it.
Rent Out Your Clothes
Another suggestion to help free up space in your closet is to start a rental service.  Many people do this with their handbags and accessories because they are not size specific.  However, the idea can work well with clothing and shoes.  When you rent out your belongings, you can earn extra money to let people borrow what you already own.  Plus, you save yourself space in your closet when your items are on loan.  However, make sure you keep a good inventory of what you have so that you do not lose anything.
Get A Storage Unit
Furthermore, it may also be beneficial to rent a storage unit where you can store your belongings that will not fit in your closet.  This is great option to store off-season garments.  Most people have a spring and summer wardrobe and a fall and winter wardrobe.  You can easily transport these two wardrobes between your home and storage unit twice each year to free up space in your closet and help you stay organized.
Organize Your Closet
Finally, many times organization can help you to better accommodate the needs of your wardrobe.  For example, built-in shelving units can help you store your shoes and accessories.  Also, bins and hooks can make it easier to find items in your closet – especially if you have a lot.  Once you have organized the space in your closet, it is especially important to try your best to keep it organized.  This is usually the difficult part.  Although it does not take much effort, it is easy to get lazy and overlook this important aspect that makes life more functional.
With these simple tips, it is easier to accommodate a growing wardrobe.  Therefore, you won’t have to worry about finding space for what you buy.  Instead, you can shop as much as you desire!

  7. I own two real fur coats but they are seldom used. I'm aware of the anti-fur movement and knowing how aggressive people can be here in New York, using them once in a while is the best route to take. Yes, Spring cleaning is about here. There's more tasks to do in my horizon :-)

  8. i have never tried selling our used items, somehow, i hesitate to sell especially if I bought it at a high price, I rather give it to relatives or special people than selling, whereas, those items that are not very pricey or medium priced, i usually just donate them.

  14. Letting go of my old clothes is an issue to me. Yes, sentimental value is there and the hope of I can still wear them one day is there as well. As of the moment, I'm keeping them but who knows I might be able to give it away to my cousins and nieces.
