Lost

Yesterday was one of those days when she lost herself. The thing is, she thought she fully knew him already. Turns out, she didn't. And once again that thing called love turned into an illusion. Who would have thought that after ten years the same thing would happen? Sigh, hello sadness my old friend, she quipped walking along the bushy side of the trail she looked above and saw birds on flight and as if on cue, a teardrop fell. She loves him, that’s for sure, so much that he allowed him to change her to a certain degree. What was she again before they met? Oh yes, an ambitious girl who wanted to change the world. She knew exactly what she wanted, knew exactly what to do next, and happiness was at the tip of her fingertips to achieve. But insanity took over when they touched, and her curiosity must have been greater than her survival instincts that he allowed him to take over her life. Was the decision wise? Surely, it wasn’t. She wouldn’t be crying now if it was the right move. So, what now? Is it okay to just swallow her pride once more? Or should she choose to move on and say goodbye to love? By the way, was it love all along? Or yeah insanity that is. She thinks the best way to go on with life is to accept reality that indeed, true love and honesty are non-existent. Best not to believe that he loves her, less she be disappointed repeatedly and hurt.
