3 Great Reasons You Should Love Your Fruits & Veggies

I am two years short of forty. I have had my share of hospitalizations, one major surgery and several not too serious admissions. I know abusing one's body by eating more artificial food than natural ones is detrimental to our health. Sometimes though I find it quite difficult to stick to a lifestyle that would not lessen my lifespan. So I guess I am writing this to remind myself too of what I should be eating more- veggies and fruits!

1. They reduce our chances of suffering from the dreaded big C (Cancer).

The next time I am baffled which to pick a fruit or an overly sweet dessert I'd remind myself of those gigantic cells that could invade my respiratory or digestive system and which could end up clogging my arteries and invading all  my vital organs to the point where I could eventually stop breathing altogether. NOW THAT SCARES ME!

2. Veggies and Fruits Keep Us Looking Fresh and Feeling Young

I don't want premature wrinkles ruling my face! Not when I want to spend my retirement years running after my future grandkids and not gettting too tired. I won't have that kind of energy with a diet rich in fats and low in vitamins and minerals. So a balance of GO, GROW and GLOW foods it is for most of my breakfast, lunch and dinner! Promise future grandkids!

3. They are still the tastiest food ever! God made them afterall!

The heaps of extra sugar and the oily sinful goodness of fastfood resto food could lead us to our deathbed in a very slow, painful way. So why keep indulging in something that isn't good for you?

Join me embrace a healthy lifestyle and lead a happy, long LIFE!

I'd appreciate it so much if you hit LIKE and SHARE this GREAT reasons to save lives.

  1. I have a 4th reason. What you see is what you get. There are no hidden secret ingredients that I cannot spell much less read and I can grow them.

  2. love the presentation Zen, oh, so yummy! I love fruits and veggies, and I am not afraid of their sugar content because they are power packed with nutrients that protect me from the ills of added sugar, haha. I have been living a semi-vegetarian diet ( or pescetarian diet since I eat fish but no meat at all), and I do enjoy it a lot.
