The World's Most Relaxing Holidays You Don't Want To Overlook

The summer of 2014 looks set to be absolutely fantastic in most locations around the world. This should be pleasant news for anyone who’s experienced flooding and constant rain recently, as it means they’ll be able to travel abroad and forget about their problems for a couple of weeks. For the most part, the European climate will remain pretty favourable, and so it’s definitely worth booking yourselves a budget holiday and flying over to the continent sometime soon. Personally, I’d arrange my trip for May or June, as these are some of the best months for enjoying the sun. They’re also outside of standard school breaks, which means you shouldn’t have thousands of screaming kids to deal with.

So, if you want to head about some of the most relaxing holiday destinations you definitely don’t want to overlook this year, then give me your full attention and I’ll present a few locations you may wish to research. Hopefully you’ll find something suitable that won’t break the bank.

Seville, Spain

If you want to spend your time in one of the warmest climates in Europe, you really can’t go wrong with a trip to Spain. The only problem is that thousands of other westerners think the same thing, which means you’ll have to travel to somewhere like Seville, which is slightly away from the bulk of other tourists. Here, you’ll encounter stunning architecture, great dining and one of the most impressive cathedrals ever built. Very relaxing indeed!

Amsterdam, Holland

Apart from the obvious relaxing element, Amsterdam is a great place to unwind because of the somewhat old-world aesthetics you encounter with every turn. This city has one of the most beautiful canal systems on the continent, and with so many top museums and eateries, you’ll be spoilt for choice if you decide to visit here. There’s nothing more relaxing than being driven around the streets in a bike carriage, and this really is the best way to tour and take in all the sights. Also, you won’t want to miss out on a boat trip while you’re here.

Siena, Italy

Anyone who’s ever been to this city before will happily tell you how amazing it is, but you really won’t understand properly unless you take some time out and visit it yourself. As one of the oldest and most treasured cities in Italy, Siena is a wonder to behold. Here, you’ll find lots of interesting little shops, restaurants and enough original 17th century architecture to sufficiently blow your mind. On top of this, accommodation is very reasonable when booked through Venere.com and other reputable travel companies. So, what are you waiting for?

Paris, France

Finally, if you want a relaxing experience but you don’t want to travel too far outside of the UK, then booking a trip to Paris could be exactly what you’ve been looking for. The French capital is only around half an hour’s travel distance away from the southern most point of the British Isles, so you won’t even have to drive or fly for that long. Once you get here you’ll discover some of the most impressive shopping districts and landmarks on the planet. Relaxing in a luxury hotel after a long day out exploring could be exactly what you need.

Well folks, that’s all I’ve got time for today, but I hope my suggestions have given you some great ideas about where you’d like to travel during your summer 2014 holiday. Good luck making your bookings and planning your trip!
