I have my own share of flaws when it comes to taking care of my body. I must admit it takes A LOT OF DISCIPLINE to keep fit. Months ago I ceased joggging and eating well balanced meals. I gave in to junk foods over again and eating "like there is no tomorrow"...
Last week I officially forgave myself and gave this mind and body another chance to GO and GLOW!
For starters I began ditching too salty and starchy snacks for FRUITS and bought assorted fiber and vitamin rich goodies!

My next plan is resuming my early morning brisk walks....and gardening! Fruit bearing trees and vegetables to grow are on my list.
Care enough about the ones you love like me? Then be inspired to go HEALTHY too! There are a thousand and one reasons we can use to justify our "unhealthy" eating habits like "we're just being ourselves," "people will love us no matter what," etc....yet at the end of the day, the truth is we are giving away years of our existence for just another bite of fats or starch....
"It is not about looking GREAT that should motivate us, it is about TAKING CARE OF THE TEMPLE OF GOD IN US, OUR BODIES and living long and healthy enough for the ones we love, having the energy to share our gifts and helping others...we can't do that when we are ill...so the time to start is now!!!
Come take a pick from my tray of fruits and join me in my journey towards a long, healthy life!
you make me hungry with those fruits, haha, so love them, i am such a fruitie :) love those guavas and rambutan, though they are expensive here, so I just buy most of the time apple and grapes.
ReplyDeletewill join you Zen, let's stay healthy, remember we still have a high jumping picture to take :)
I loooveee grapes and guavas! They are definitely my first two choices! You made me drool!
ReplyDeleteWow! I admire people who do their best to get physically fit. I'm so lazy to exercise even jogging. The only thing I've done about my health is to eat healthy foods like fruits and veggies.
ReplyDeletethose fruits! i love eating fruitsthough i minimize it to snacks and some parts for my meals as too much isn't good at all. though i still love eating fruits hehe
ReplyDeleteMiss ko ang rambutan at bayabas, pakagat!!
ReplyDeletei agree with this..but in my case with loads of good cakes around..it'll be a disaster. but i know, i must start somehow!!!
ReplyDeletelike Beth, we are into apples and grapes too. we cut down eating junk fr once a week to once a month. hopefully, maging once a year habit na lang. hahaha! cheers to a long, happy and healthy life!
ReplyDeleteSpare me the guavas.. kahit 3 nyan ubos ko. Going back to the topic, hoping that this time your endeavor will produce positive results.
ReplyDeleteI spotted fruits on that tray that I miss. I am with you on this goal. I'm glad that for months now, I always win over the urge to eat unhealthy snacks. I just find it hard to walk here daily as the weather is so unpredictable.
ReplyDeleteEating a balance diet is what we all need in order to live healthier and longer life, we should start it the younger we are. that way we can give our body some good outcome when we get older later on in life.
ReplyDeleteI am with you Ate! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's super hard to give up junk foods but for a healthy lifestyle, I'm starting to dump them. I'm more into veggies na than fruits kasi it's kinda expensive. Hehehe!
And I hope I could be with you to do some brisk walking every morning. Nakakatamad kasi pag mag-isa. >.<
I absolutely love fruits! I am looking forward to becoming a fruitarian as soon as my income can allow me. Hehehehehe! Love it! ^_^
ReplyDeleteIt’s great that you are back into eating healthy. I also do eat junk foods but I see to it that I eat fruits/veggies as well. ^_^
