How I Gained My Confidence In A Year

A photo posted by thelettersinnovember (@zenskulasa) on

I turned forty November last year. Regular TLIN followers know that this blog is titled "The Letters In November" because I was born on the first day of November. Before I hit forty I was sort of promoted at work though the assignment is not yet permanent. To cut the story short I had to transform myself into someone worth calling "leader" of the institution in several months time.

I've been used to work-home-work routine. I used to go on twenty four hour tour of duty twice a week. When I became a part of the administration my days away from the job became weekends and I had to report to the office eight A.M. to five P.M. That required some adjustment.

I admit I had a hard time focusing on what to do. My wrinkles multiplied and my smile became quite hard to form LOL. Yet looking back, I think I made it through that adjustment period. Pew! How did I gain my confidence?

I exercised!

Believe it or not I spent time to jog at least twice a week. Haha, now I've lost the momentum for that activity- guilty as charged.

I relaxed whenever I can.

I even danced in the rain LOL.

I immersed myself in mother nature.

I still take snapshots of beautiful things around. I'm no longer that addicted though LOL. I now can stifle an urge to run after sunsets and little winged creatures and just enjoy the moment.

I kept my work space inspiring.

A plant here, a smiley there, a memento here. Little colorful things at work eases mental tension.

I made it a point to have six to eight hours of sleep.

I do have a bit of difficulty shifting to slumber land from worklandia  tending to bring home my worries. A comfy bed and the laughter of the kids never fails to calm me though.

I ate more fruits and veggies.

They taste the best! I've ditched soda for good too, hurray!

No matter how hectic life became, I saved precious moments with my family.

I traveled near and far.

Seeing new places and meeting new people brings out the best in us.

I loved, and was loved unceasingly!

A happy marriage makes all the difference.

And most of all, I prayed- A LOT.

~As it is, I have to park my pen. More tips next time! Ciao!
