Merry Christmas San Fernando!

Walking the streets in the city, I could feel the holiday cheer. Although everywhere in the country there is some sort of cost cutting when it comes to Christmas celebration as a way of sympathizing with the typhoon Haiyan victims, one could still feel the jubilation at the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The spirit of giving lives on- wearing shirts for the benefit of typhoon Haiyan victims

..there are numerous governmental and non-governmental efforts to send love to those in need~

because no tragedy could ever stop everyone in my country from being the happy, caring people that we are...

Merry Christmas One and All...

May everyone find peace and joy in the simple celebration of the birth of our Savior...

...I will share with you scenes from the Christmas village next time, to keep you posted...

  6. Christmas in the Philippines is different, though may never experience riding on a sleigh and making snowmen, the love and warmth of our families are the one that is surely worth coming home for.

  7. Makes me miss home all the more. Filipino Christmas is one of a kind. Nobody celebrates this joyous occasion the way we Pinoys do. The camaraderie and warmth is something to be proud of.

Love the tree, by the way. :-)

  11. I miss Christmas back home! Christmas here is so boring! Honestly, it's so cold, you don't want to go out, no firecrackers, no Pinoy-style Christmas celebration. People here are so into gift-giving and I think have totally forgotten the real meaning of Christmas... so sad. I dreamed of a White Christmas, but nothing compares to the Christmas in the Philippines! I want to have a parol here. I could not find anything like that here.
